Overview
This shipping policy applies to Paper Bento monthly subscription boxes. By subscribing, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Shipping Locations
United States Only
Paper Bento currently ships exclusively within the United States.
We do not currently ship to:
- International addresses
- US Territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands, etc.)
International shipping may be offered in the future based on demand.
Shipping Methods
Carrier
We ship via trusted carriers including USPS, FedEx, UPS, or other services based on the best available rates and delivery times for your location. Your shipping confirmation email will specify which carrier is delivering your box.
Service Level
Standard shipping via the most efficient carrier service for your destination.
Delivery Time
- Processing time: Boxes ship once per month, typically during the second half of the month, after the monthly cutoff date
- Transit time: 3-7 business days after shipment
- Total time: Delivery typically occurs within 10 business days of shipment
Note: Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Delays may occur due to weather, holidays, or carrier issues beyond our control.
Shipping Costs
Standard shipping is $8 per box for all US destinations.
Order Processing
When Boxes Ship
Paper Bento boxes ship once per month, typically during the second half of the month, after the monthly cutoff date.
Cutoff dates:
- Orders placed before the monthly cutoff date receive the current month's box
- Orders placed after the cutoff date will start with the following month's box
- If we sell out before the cutoff date, orders will close for that month and you'll need to wait until the following month to place an order
Cutoff dates and shipping timelines are listed on the product page each month.
Order Confirmation
You will receive:
- Order confirmation email immediately after purchase
- Shipping confirmation email with tracking number when your box ships each month
Important: Add hello@paperbento.store to your contacts to ensure emails don't go to spam.
Tracking
Tracking Information
Every shipment includes tracking. You will receive:
- Tracking number via email when your order ships
- Carrier information and tracking link
- Delivery confirmation when package arrives
Tracking Concerns
If tracking shows no movement for 5+ business days, contact us at hello@paperbento.store and we'll investigate with the carrier.
Delivery
Delivery Method
Packages are delivered to the address provided at checkout. Carriers will leave packages at your door/mailbox (no signature required), deliver to your building's mail room if applicable, or follow delivery instructions if provided.
Delivery Issues
Package Not Received:

Check with household members, neighbors, building staff

Look in alternate delivery locations (side door, garage, etc.)

Wait 1-2 additional business days (sometimes marked "delivered" early)

Contact us at hello@paperbento.store if not received within 14 days of ship date
Stolen Packages:
We are not responsible for packages stolen after confirmed delivery. We recommend using a secure delivery location, requesting signature confirmation (contact us before your box ships), filing a police report if package was stolen, or checking with your home insurance for coverage.
Wrong Address Delivered:
If you provided an incorrect address and the carrier delivered to that address, we cannot offer a replacement or refund. Please verify your shipping address carefully in your account settings.
Address Requirements
Complete Address Needed
Please provide:
- Full legal name (first and last)
- Street address
- Apartment/unit number (if applicable)
- City, State, ZIP code
- Phone number (for carrier contact if needed)
Address Changes
Before Shipping: Log into your account or email hello@paperbento.store to update your address. Changes must be made before your box ships each month.
After Shipping: Once shipped, we cannot change the delivery address. Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number to request package interception (fees may apply).
PO Boxes
PO Boxes are not accepted due to package size and past delivery issues. Please provide a physical street address for delivery.
If you only have access to a PO Box, please contact us at hello@paperbento.store before ordering to discuss alternative delivery options.
Packaging
Box Contents
Your Paper Bento box will arrive in branded shipping box with contents securely packaged to prevent damage and product information included.

Approximate box size: 9" x 7" x 3" (may vary depending on box content)
Damaged Shipments
If Package Arrives Damaged
Exterior damage (box crushed, torn, wet):

Take photos of the damaged package immediately

Open carefully and inspect contents

Take photos of any damaged items

Contact us within 7 days at hello@paperbento.store with photos and order number
We will replace damaged items or offer a partial credit at our discretion.
Concealed Damage
If the exterior box looks fine but items inside are damaged, take photos and contact us within 7 days at hello@paperbento.store. We will send replacement items or offer a partial credit where possible.
Lost or Undelivered Packages
If Tracking Shows "Delivered" But You Didn't Receive It

Check with neighbors in case of misdelivery

Contact us after 48 hours if still not found
If Package is Lost in Transit
If tracking shows no movement for 7+ days or is marked "lost" by the carrier, contact us at hello@paperbento.store. We will file a claim with the carrier and send a replacement box or offer a credit toward a future box.
We are not responsible for carrier delays, but we will do our best to help resolve issues.
Holidays and Peak Seasons
Shipping During Holidays
During major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), carriers experience high volume and potential delays. Please allow extra time for delivery during November-December. We will communicate any anticipated delays via email.
Cancellations & Refusals
Subscription Cancellations
Both subscription types can be canceled anytime with 14 days' notice.
To cancel, email hello@paperbento.store at least 14 days before the 5th of the month (by the 19th).
- Monthly subscriptions: No cancellation fee
- 6-Month prepaid: 80% refund on unused months

Refused Delivery
If you refuse delivery of your package:
- You are responsible for return shipping costs
- Monthly subscribers: Your subscription continues until you cancel via email
- 6-Month prepaid: You can cancel and receive 80% refund on unused months
Undeliverable - Return to Sender
If your package is returned to us as undeliverable due to incorrect address, failed delivery attempts, or refusal, please contact us at hello@paperbento.store to resolve the delivery issue or discuss cancellation options.
Payment Issues
Failed Payments (Monthly Subscriptions Only)
If a payment fails, you'll receive an email with instructions to update your payment method. Your subscription will resume once payment is successfully processed. You can update payment information by logging into your account.
Customer Responsibilities
By subscribing, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete shipping information
- Monitor tracking information for each monthly shipment
- Be available to receive packages or arrange secure delivery
- Inspect packages upon arrival and report damage within 7 days
- Contact us promptly with any delivery issues
- Follow cancellation procedures if you wish to end your subscription
